Academic staff member – Assistant Professor focused on Economics of furniture manufacturing companies

for the Department of Furniture, Design and Housing

The fundamental mission of the department consists in university educational activities focused on preparing new generation of bachelors and diploma engineers specialized in furniture. The mission of the school covers preparing specialists, which can immediately after graduation become useful members of working teams specialized in furniture production as well as furniture R&D.

What will you do?

  • management of subjects focused on issues related to the economics of timber companies
  • supervision of final theses (DP, BP, DiZ.) on a given topic
  • creative activity in the given area
  • active participation in the development of the sector within the Institute
  • active scientific activities in the field within the institute

What do we require from you?

  • university degree obtained Ph.D. in the field of Management and Economics of a Manufacturing Company
  • min. 5 years of experience teaching a subject in the field of Management and Economics of a Manufacturing Company or Controlling
  • at least 3 years of experience in economic management of companies
  • at least a 3-month internship abroad focused on economics
  • knowledge of the Czech language (teaching in the Czech language)
  • experience with project solutions in the field of furniture design and creation, especially of interior products
  • general overview of the creation of new products and management of production systems with emphasis on the economy
