In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline February 10, 2026
Scientific and pedagogical work in the field of physics of nanomaterials with a focus on their synthesis, characterization, and applications, particularly in one of the following areas: memristive materials, nanomaterials for medical applications, electrochemistry, sensing, and bio-sensing.

Candidates who progress to the second round of the selection procedure will be invited to an interview. Qualifications
A positive attitude towards pedagogical work, teaching, and supervising student theses. Practical experience in the preparation of nanomaterials, preferably by vacuum methods. Practical experience with the characterization of nanomaterials (e.g., SEM, AFM, FT-IR, XPS, UV-Vis). Practical experience in at least one of the following fields: memristive nanomaterials, electrochemistry, gas sensing, or bio-sensing. Consistent publication activity in the given field in impacted journals. We require initiative and independence. Experience working in an international team, including experience from stays at foreign workplaces.
