In accordance with the The Competitive Hiring Process Code of Charles University, the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announces opening of the following position with submission deadline September 15, 2025
Academic researcher at the Astronomical institute of Charles university. Independently solving scientific problems in the field of planetary and protoplanetary systems with expertise in hydrodynamic simulations. Preparation and lecturing of a course on theory of exoplanets for master level students, participation on lecturing the course „Elementary processes in astrophysics“ (NAST024). Supervising bachelor and master theses. Expected amount of teaching is 2 hours per week. Position is supported from institutional budget for three years. Starting salary is 70,000 Kč per month + meal allowances.

Qualifications
- Publication activity in the field of numerical modeling of planetary and protoplanetary systems in international refereed journals, proven ability to obtain grant funds, ability to integrate scientific and pedagogical work, including the supervision of student theses.
