3-Year Postdoc Position on the EU co-funded project „On our own: opportunities and risks of individualising society” at the Institute of Psychology, Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno

Full-time position for 36 months
Project Focus
The candidate will pursue research within a working package dedicated to polarization and intergenerational relations within families. The project investigates how contact between different generations impacts attitudes towards polarizing issues (e.g., LGBT attitudes), and whether this impact affects polarization within broader society; primarily employing quantitative analysis of secondary (e.g., GGS dataset) and newly collected data.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing studies
- Quantitative analysis of longitudinal data
- Coordinating survey data collection
- Preparation of publications for international journals,
- Presentation at scientific conferences
- Realizing own research ideas within the scope of the project
Your Profile
- PhD in psychology, sociology, or a related field (e.g., economics)
- Strong skills in quantitative data analysis
- English proficiency
- High motivation, proactive and independent work ethic
- Experience with survey design and longitudinal data collection welcomed
- Experience with agent-based modeling welcomed but not required
- Project requirement: During the last 5 years, you held a research position outside of Czechia for at least 2 years at a minimum 0.5 FTE or received your Ph.D. abroad. Czech nationals are not excluded.

Conditions of Employment
Salary: 54 840 CZK/month (gross, approx. 2150 EUR/month). Czech place of residence.
