Academic staff member of the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts – Assistant Professor

Job description:
In accordance with the Work Rules of UJEP employees – Rector’s Directive No. 2/2019

Qualification requirements:

·        Required education in the relevant field at Ph.D. level, or doctoral studies to be completed by the end of the 2025/2026 academic year

·        Excellent command of English (teaching in English may be required)

·        Potential for further career growth in higher education, science, and research

·        Willingness to participate in project activities

·        Ability to publish internationally

·        Ability to work in a team and in a systematic manner

·        Good communication, organizational, and coordination skills

·        Accuracy, flexibility, and integrity

Workload: 50% of full-time employment (with the prospect of increasing to 100%)

Expected start date: September 2025

Place of work: Faculty of Arts, UJEP, Ústí nad Labem

Information on the selection procedure and selection criteria:
The first round of the selection procedure will assess the submitted materials, which must be included in the application. The second round, if applicable, will involve interviews with selected candidates. All applicants will be informed of the outcome no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the selection procedure.
