Scientific and pedagogical work in the field of space plasma physics directed at the emergence and development of large structures based on the analysis of changes in ion distribution functions in the solar wind.

Qualifications

  • Academic degree Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field, professional experience in the field, positive attitude towards pedagogical work, ability to integrate scientific activities, teaching and supervising student work, constant publication activity in the field in impact journals or in equivalent and recognized journals in the field, and experience from stays at foreign workplaces. Extensive experience in processing satellite data from various types of instrumental equipment is also required, with specific experience gained from both current experiments (Parker Solar Probe, Solar Orbiter, Wind) and experiments from previous years (e.g. Helios, Ulysses) being an advantage.

Expertise

  • Study of processes leading to non-adiabatic expansion of the solar wind into the heliosphere with a focus on the emergence and development of large-scale structures based on the analysis of velocity distribution functions
