Non-academic research position at the Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, Microbiology and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of AgriSciences

Research Area: plant nutrition

The Department of Agrochemistry, Soil Science, Microbiology and Plant Nutrition specializes in plant nutrition, focusing on nitrogen and sulfur, foliar nutrition, the effects of drought, and new materials for fertilizer development. The main topics in soil science are the long-term effects of external inputs, soil organic matter, and soil classification. In the field of soil microbiology, experts focus on making nutrients available to plants, increasing water infiltration and retention, and the functional diversity of the soil microbiome.

What will be your job responsibilities?

  • sampling, processing and analysis of soil and plant biomass samples
  • preparation and implementation of container or field experiments
  • participation in the preparation of scientific publications, research reports and presentations related to the research project
  • evaluation of analytical results within the scientific research activity
  • active participation in the preparation of laboratory teaching
  • ensuring administrative and technical support for research projects

What do we expect from you?

  • secondary vocational, higher vocational, or university education in a relevant field
  • excellent command of the Czech language (native speaker or equivalent level)
  • carefullness, independence, and responsibility in laboratory work
  • willingness to learn new methods and procedures
  • ability to collaborate in a team and good communication skills

  • previous experience working in a laboratory

Expected start date: March 2026, or by agreement

Duration of employment: fixed term 1 year with the possibility of extension
