Would you like to join a team dealing with hard interdisciplinary problems that really matter?

We are seeking researcher(s) to complement the team of the project “Functional and structural reorganization of brain networks after stroke: implications for diagnosis and therapy of associated comorbidities“ funded by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic.

The project involves developing, optimizing and applying techniques for analysis of neuroimaging data (high-density electrophysiology and magnetic resonance imaging data) to provide insight into change of brain networks after stroke and to predict its cognitive and clinical consequences.

The project is carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Physiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Czech Technical University and the Motol University Hospital.


  • Contract is of minimum 12 months duration (with possible extension up to 42 months to be decided after the first year).

  • Application deadline: open until filled

  • Starting date: upon agreement.

  • This is a full-time fixed term contract appointment. Part time contract negotiable.

  • Monthly gross salary: for postdoctoral researchers starting from 30 000 CZK based on qualifications and experience. Cost Of Living Comparison

  • Travel funding available in the project budget for conferences and research stays.

  • No teaching duties

  • Applicants should:

    1. Hold a PhD in mathematics, computer science, neuroscience or a related discipline. (Applications for a part-time doctoral position will be also considered; supervision of related PhD thesis topics possible at the Czech Technical University).

    2. Be fluent in English or Czech.

  • We seek curious, self-motivated, hard-working, team-spirited researchers

  • Prior experience with neuroimaging data (electrophysiology, diffusion MRI) is advantageous, but not required
