Non Academic Staff Member for the Department of Business Economics

Research field: business economics, corporate finance, agricultural economics, bioeconomics

We are a modern university, teaching and researching agriculture, forestry, economic and technical disciplines in regional and international contexts. Since 2018, we have been the holder of the HR Excellence in Research Award for improving employee care, awarded to us as the first Czech university by the European Commission.

The Department of Business Economics is one of the departments of the Faculty of Business and Economics at Mendel University in Brno. It focuses on teaching and research in the areas of business process management, corporate finance, agricultural economics, environmental economics and policy, and bioeconomics. The department has long been dedicated to the development of students‘ professional competences, supports applied research and links academic knowledge with the needs of corporate practice.

What will be your job role?

  • scientific research activities in Czech and English in the field of business economics, corporate finance, agricultural economics or bioeconomics
  • submission and active participation in the solution of scientific research projects (especially foreign ones)
  • development of educational and scientific research and creative activities in the field
  • publication of results in professional and scientific journals and in the form of papers at conferences and seminars
  • cooperation with colleagues on scientific research projects

What are our requirements?

  • university education and scientific – pedagogical rank of associate professor or professor in the field of business economics or a related field
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language and advanced knowledge of the English language
  • demonstrable research activities (projects) in the field of business economics or related fields
  • experience of publishing in scientific and professional journals and experience of participation in domestic and international research projects

Required research experience:
