Description 

To expand the research team within the currently addressed research projects at the Department of Transport and Logistics, Institute of Technology and Business in České Budějovice, Czech Republic we are looking for a doctoral student or researcher (academician) with experience in IT technologies, best applied to transport or logistics (connection with transport and logistics is not a necessary condition). The offered funding is for the duration of the project (minimum 6 months), after a part-time (full-time) agreement. Suitable skills: programming language (optional), knowledge of modeling and simulation programs in the field of transport and logistics is an advantage (OmniTRANS, AnyLogic, PTV Vissim, PTV Visum, and so on), creative thinking and flexibility, the ability to work in a team and the effort to further education, English at a basic or advanced communicative (but also written expression) level.

Requirements

  • Academic education – Ph.D., associate professor, professor
  • Active knowledge of English (basic or advanced communicative and written level)
  • Experience in IT technologies (best applied to transport or logistics)
  • Creative thinking and flexibility
  • The ability to work in a team and the effort to further education
  • Motivation and willingness to participate in the research and development projects
  • Programming language (optional),
  • Knowledge of modeling and simulation programs in the field of transport and logistics is an advantage (OmniTRANS, AnyLogic, PTV Vissim, PTV Visum, and so on)
  • Clean criminal records and integrity

Job content

  • Participation in the research project, especially in creation of an approach (generic) methodology for the implementation of freight city logistics in the process of generating sustainable urban mobility plans, generally on the sustainable development of cities with an emphasis on the development of transport and logistics systems
