Mass spectrometric specialist


Our proteomics facility, a part of the CEITEC state-of-the-art infrastructure, predominantly provides proteomics services to the academic community mainly with utilization of mass spectrometric instrumentation. Next to our service duties we direct our research activities to the field of proteomics methodology. Thus, we are involved in broad range of projects requiring protein characterisation covering fields of biochemistry, molecular and structural biology, human and veterinary medicine, microbiology, plant, agriculture and food sciences.

Position description:

  • Operation of our LC-MS/MS systems (RSLCnano, Orbitrap Elite, Orbitrap Lumos, Impact II etc.)
  • Independent processing of assigned tasks (selection of optimal solution, data processing, data reporting)
  • Method development


  • MSc/Ing grade or higher (preferably in Life Sciences or Analytical Chemistry)
  • knowledge of MS-based proteomic approaches
  • knowledge of mass spectrometric instrumentation
  • critical thinking
  • enthusiasm for learning new things
  • general technical skills
  • team player
  • capacity of good communication within the team (Czech/English)
  • reliability and dedication
