Přehled

Surface of immune cells commands organisation of their signalling molecules. A proper molecular organisation of these molecules determines effectivity of immune response to pathogens and cancer cells. Advanced imaging techniques such as superresolution microscopy, are required to characterise organisation of molecules with nanoscopic precision. However, sample preparation is not yet well established these methods. The candidate will investigate how diverse optical surfaces and their treatments influence cell surface morphology and receptor organisation. She/he will learn how to handle immune cells, prepare sample for superresolution microscopy and how to process the acquired data. In case of interest, the student can get involved in the development of a new, fancy 3D nanoscope.
