Academic position at the Department of Forestry and Wood Technology Economics and Policy, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology

Research Area: studies focused on the legal environment in forestry and nature and landscape conservation

The Department of Forestry and Wood Technology Economics and Policy is a unique workplace that focuses on all aspects of the forestry and wood sector, renewable natural resources, and the environment. In its activities, it combines the fields of economics, management, policy, and scientific research, providing comprehensive support both in education and consulting.

What will your work involve?

  • leading lectures and seminars on the legal environment in forestry and nature and landscape conservation
  • transmitting acquired knowledge to students
  • supervising final theses of pregraduate studies
  • developing educational, scientific research, and creative activities in the field
  • actively participating in research projects and grants
  • publishing results in professional and scientific journals and presenting at conferences and seminars

What do we expect from you?

  • completed master’s degree in forestry and law and a Ph.D. or equivalent scientific degree
  • at least 10 years of professional experience in the field
  • excellent knowledge of Czech and English
  • ability to lecture, lead seminars, and effectively convey knowledge to students
  • experience in supervising student theses
  • publishing activity
  • excellent communication and presentation skills
  • ability to work in a team as well as independently

What research experience do we require?

  • ability to develop and innovate research projects
  • experience in presenting research results and publishing them in leading impact-factor journals
